2014 Scholarship for Nigerian and Ghanaian Students

Postgraduate scholarship programmes is now available in University of
Portsmouth, and it is intended for international students mainly from
Ghana and Nigeria. The numbers of scholarship varies, and they all are
for Nigerian and Ghanaian students who pursue master's postgraduate
degree level. Receipts of programme can have a 20% reduction in the
overall of tuition fee. Paying attention to a brief information

Closing date of the scholarship is 31st July 2014.

Subject of Study
The scholarship is designed for the student who'd like to show their
interest to study
* Environmental Geology and Contamination
* Geological and Environmental Hazards
* Engineering Geology
* Crisis and Disaster Management (within the School of Earth and
Environmental Sciences). The programme provides opportunities for
students to study
* Marine Resource Management and
* Geographical Information Systems and Coastal (within Department of
Geography). Both the faculties are available at University of
Portsmouth.

Provider of Scholarship
The only provider of the scholarship is University of Portsmouth,
United Kingdom.

Requirement
There are few conditions to be met by applicants. They were including:
Applicants come from Ghana or Nigeria, and must be able to show some
proof that they hold Nigerian or Ghanaian nationality.
1. Ghanaian applicants should hold a Second Class Upper (minimum),
whereas Nigerian applicants share the same terms with additional
condition that require them to hold G.P.A 3.0/5. Both students should
be in a relevant subject;
2. Fully self funding;
3. Applicants should have been accepted and offered a place on any
Master's degree of their choice;
4. Applicants must have satisfied academic conditions;
5. Applicants must have met financial conditions, i.e. payment for non
refundable deposit.

Who can Apply
People who can apply for the scholarship are Nigerian and Ghanaian
students, who hold one of the nationalities as required by the
program.

Scholarship Coverage
A number of scholarships are available, and these come from the
Science faculty of University of Portsmouth. The programmer also
covers 20% of tuition fee, so that students find their 20% of fee
