The Federal Government has declared Tuesday 14th January 2014 as
public holiday to mark the Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
The Minister of Interior Abba Moro made the declaration yesterday on
behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria and enjoined all Muslim
faithful and Nigerians in general to support, co-operate and join
hands…in the effort to build a peaceful united and virile nation".
It also coincides with the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.
While wishing Nigerian a happy Eid-El-Maulud celebration, urged all
Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace across the nation.
