What You Need To Know About The Delay Of FUNAAB 2014/2015 Academic Calender.

Below is a detail report by FUNAAB non official page on facebook:
Funaab News and Gist Update on the delay Of The Academic Calendar:

We are quite sure most of us have been seeing news about the
Management supposedly announcing the Resumption Date for the 2014/2015
Session. Well, that's not entirely true, it is the Proposed Calendar.

We also posted like that, when the Former SuG President had sent it to
us from the Office of the DVC.
The Management of The School has Proposed these following Dates:
» November 23rd 2014 - Freshers Resumption
» December 5th 2014 - Stailites Resumption
» December 15th 2014 - Lecturers start.

What's Delaying the Calendar from being Approved?
Funaab Lecturers are yet to reach an Agreement with the Vc, based on
their Leave Allowance and the Amount of Days they are to go for Leave.
From what we've been able to gather, the Vc is not willing to Pay the
Lecturers the certain amount they asked for, which is about 6 digits
and also Two months Leave, if the Vc can't pay the amount they asked
for, the Leave will be for 3 Months.

The Management has been having Numerous meetings with our Lecturers,
the last being On Wednesday 22nd of October, trying to reach a Mutual
Agreement. The outcome of the meeting is not known yet, but from what
we heard from a Lecturer, their has been rela progress and the
Calendar should be approved soon.

This Saga is Like that of ASUU VS FG.
