Strike Update: Result Of Yesterday Meeting Between ASUP And COEASU Staffs.

After waiting for the outcome of the meeting between the Academic
Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and the Colleges of Education and
Academic Staff Union (COEASU), where the management board met with the
lawmakers yesterday in a bid to resolve the lingering strike.

After the opening prayer and the arrival of guests, the meeting
started yesterday afternoon.

A correspondent of Dailyschoolnews.com.ng who was also available at
the location, disclosed that many issues were discussed on the
necessary things that were need to be done before the strike would be
called off by the Association authorities.
Another correspondent who was also available at the location, was able
to gathered that the meeting still continues today, since all the
issues surrounding the strike can't all be discussed yesterday.

However, the major point which we would love you to note is that the
strike is still on.

The meeting involve the following personnels:
* House of Representatives members,
* Minister of Education,
* Lawmakers,
* Head of Service,
* ASUP management board,
* COEASU Management theme."

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) strike has been
ongoing for the past 10 months, while the Colleges of Education and
Academic Staff Union (COEASU) have been on six-month strike.

We hope today's meeting will yield a positive result.
