Tips From 2013/2014 Admission Process: A Must Read For Jambite And DE Candidate.

To All those seeking admission into FUNAAB for 2014/2015 Academic
Session both Jambite and DE Candidate, we have gathered some
information based on the Admission Process for 2013/2014 Academic
Session and we believe this will be very useful to you.

1. The Jamb Cutoff Mark Funaab used was 180 (Jamb approved for all
Universities) and it is unlikely to change.

2. Requirements into various Colleges:
* Admission into Agriculture, Engineering, Natural Sciences and
Veterinary Medicine Courses:
In addition to scoring not less than 180 marks in the
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME),
candidates are expected to posses five (5) SSCE credit passes in
English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not
more than two (2) sittings.
A Pass in Physics at O-Level is acceptable ONLY for courses in
Agricultural Programmes.
A Pass in Biology with credit pass in Agricultural Sciences is
acceptable ONLY for courses in
Agricultural Programmes. The University does not
accept Agricultural Science in lieu of Biology.

* Candidates applying for Water Resources Management should also
possess a credit pass in
Geography.

Admission into Management Sciences Courses:
* Candidates are expected to posses credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Economics and two
other Social Sciences subjects from Geography, Accounts, Government,
Business Studies and Commerce at not more than two (2) sittings.

* Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
Admission Into 200 Level: Information and Requirements:
Candidate seeking admission into the Federal University of
Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) should note that they have the SOLE
responsibility of ensuring that they meet the minimum admission
requirements at
Ordinary Level, OND, NCE or HND before making any payment into the
University coffers. If at any point it is discovered that the
candidate does NOT meet the
minimum admission requirements, such offer of
admission shall be withdrawn and payment made is NON-REFUNDABLE.

* Admission Into 200 Level
In addition to the minimum requirement specified at
O'Level, candidates seeking admission by Direct
Entry are expected to posses a minimum of UPPER
CREDIT at ND or HND and CREDIT at NCE for
admissions into related areas from a recognized institution. G.C.E.
Advance- Level passes in any two
of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
and Biology/Zoology/Botany are acceptable for
admission into 200 Level.

FUNAAB DOES NOT ACCEPT LOWER CREDIT FOR DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION.

* Post-UTME
Direct Entry Applicants do not take Post-UTME.

Registration Fee:
A Total of N2,600 was payed for post ume registration.
N1000 to Register Online N300 bank charge. (Both for Jambites and DE candidates)
N1000 to print out your Exam schedule and Venue N300. (Jambites Only)
