For enhanced and better service delivery, the University has appointed
a new Manager for its Microfinance Bank. He is Mr Abimbola Adewale.
The new manager holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting,
Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management and Master of Business
Administration, from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Mr. Adewale is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of
Nigeria, SME Club of the Enterprise Development Centre, Certified
Microfinance Practitioner of the Central Bank of Nigeria/CIBN 2012
edition, Microfinance Association of the United Kingdom and the 2013
Central Bank of Nigeria's Post-Examination Monitoring Scheme.
The manager has over 15 years banking experience spanning operations,
foreign exchange, relationship management, non-interest banking,
credit, retail banking, micro credit as well as small and medium scale
enterprise segment management, having worked in various banks,
including Habib, Oceanic, Unity and GTI Microfinance.
He has attended several courses; locally and internationally in
reputable firms like Deutsche Bank Training in Alternative Finance,
Trade Finance and LC Course for Managers, Facility Rating Model
Workshop for SMEs, Advance Credit for Managers, Branch Banking Course
for Managers and Risk Management Training for Microfinance Banks. The
well-groomed strategist, business development and relationship
management expert and the current Vice-President of Onward Club of
Igbogila, Yewa North of Ogun State, has promised to serve the bank
diligently by unfolding mouth-watering packages for the existing and
would-be customers. He has since assumed duty.
