The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) has approved the
University's Institute of Human Resources Development (INHURD) as a
centre for IJMB 'A' Level Programme.

The Director of INHURD, Professor Francis Showemimo said IJMB gave the
approval after an inspection tour of the INHURD facility, recently.
With the approval, the institute is permitted to run an IJMB centre
that could admit up to 350 students.
The IJMB team, which was lead by the Professor A.O Oyewole,
representatives of the IJMB Chairman, the National Coordinator of
IJMB, Mrs L.E Adam from ABU, Zaria, and Dr A.L Kolapo from the
Polytechnic Ibadan, expressed satisfaction over the facilities at the
institute.
Following the approval, INHURD will run the predegree, IJMB and
Cambridge 'A' Levels programme currently beginning from January 2014.
Meanwhile, the VC, Professor Olusola Oyewole has congratulated Inhurd
for the gaint stride, promising managements support toward the success
of the program.

More about the programme
IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) is a federal government
approved program for nine months. IJMB dosent require jamb neither
your Jamb score, all it requires is your O'level result be it WAEC,
NECO, NABTEB etc. (5 credits, one sittings, 6 credits, two sittings)
awaiting result candidate can also apply. Most candidate who failed
either Jamb or PUTME in the past always do this programme and most of
them got admission and meet their collegues in 200 Level.
The good new is that a lot of people are entering into universities
via Ijmb programe directly into 200 level because of its relevance.
Interested candidate are expected to select any of the three 3 A/L
subjects from
1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Geography (Science Students)
2. Economics, Business and Management, Accounts, Government, Sciology,
CRS/IRS, Literature for Arts/Social sciences/ Humanities candidates.

On completion of the programe, successful candidates can use their
result to gain admission into 200 level in any Nigeria University
through D.E

IJMB result is acceptable in over 70% of Nigeria University. The
following Universities accept Ijmb e.g. UNILORIN, ABU, UNIJOS, FUT
MINNA, FUTA, UNIABJ, KWASU, FUTYOLA, River State University of
Sci/Tech, Cross River State University, Delta state University.....
All private universities, all universities in the North, South-East
and South-south of Nigeria.
